Five members of the Hygiene group Face network gathered in Brussels Wednesday 11th of December for the first meeting with DG Health in the last two years. On the Agenda, sharing our feedback regarding the application of the Guide for Good Hygiene Practices since it was launched in 2017 throughout Europe. We also used this rare occasion to present the differences between member states and regions on the interpretation of EC 2073/2005 focusing specifically on sampling plans designing challenges.

The next day, four members stayed over to meet with three MEP teams
from Netherlands (ECR group), Spain (EPP group) and France (S&D
group). These meetings were partly a continuation of earlier pleasant
contacts. And next to that, also an occasion to able to establish new
connections. It was very useful to share our sector, playing a key role
in the ongoing Common Agriculture Policy (CAP). Indeed, we work mainly
with direct sales and short distribution channels and provide
qualitative jobs for rural communities.
The meetings in Brussel were important steps in the continued exchange
with both the European Commission and the European Parliament.
